Pivasta 2mg Tab (Pitavastatin) is a selective inhibitor of HMG-CoA reductase, an enzyme crucial in cholesterol synthesis in the liver. By inhibiting this enzyme, pitavastatin reduces the production of cholesterol, leading to lower LDL ('bad') cholesterol levels in the blood.
