About Pivasta 4mg Tab
Pivasta 4mg Tab (Pitavastatin) is a medication used to lower cholesterol levels. It works by reducing the production of LDL cholesterol in the liver. Dosage and potential side effects vary depending on individual factors. It's crucial to discuss its use with your doctor, especially if you have pre-existing health conditions like kidney or liver disease, or are pregnant/breastfeeding. Always follow your doctor's prescribed dosage and report any concerning side effects immediately.
Ingredients of Pivasta 4mg Tab

    Pitavastatin

Calcium is the active pharmaceutical ingredient (api).

Direction for Use of Pivasta 4mg Tab

Primary hypercholesterolemia (high cholesterol) in adults.

Mixed dyslipidemia (a combination of high cholesterol and other lipid abnormalities) in adults when diet and other nonpharmacological treatments have not been sufficient.

How Pivasta 4mg Tab Works

Pivasta 4mg Tab (Pitavastatin) selectively inhibits HMG-CoA reductase, a key enzyme in cholesterol biosynthesis. This leads to a reduction in the production of LDL-cholesterol ('bad' cholesterol) in the liver, and a subsequent decrease in LDL-C levels in the blood. It also increases HDL-cholesterol ('good' cholesterol) levels to a lesser extent.
