Calcium is the active pharmaceutical ingredient (api).
Primary hypercholesterolemia (high cholesterol) in adults.
Mixed dyslipidemia (a combination of high cholesterol and other lipid abnormalities) in adults when diet and other nonpharmacological treatments have not been sufficient.
Pivasta 4mg Tab (Pitavastatin) selectively inhibits HMG-CoA reductase, a key enzyme in cholesterol biosynthesis. This leads to a reduction in the production of LDL-cholesterol ('bad' cholesterol) in the liver, and a subsequent decrease in LDL-C levels in the blood. It also increases HDL-cholesterol ('good' cholesterol) levels to a lesser extent.
Store at room temperature (below 25°C) and protect from moisture. Keep out of reach of children.
Dosage should be determined by your doctor based on your individual needs and response to treatment.
The typical starting dose is 1mg to 4mg once daily, taken with or without food.
Rarely: Rhabdomyolysis (severe muscle breakdown – seek immediate medical attention if symptoms occur)

Pitavastatin generally does not affect alertness, but patients experiencing side effects such as dizziness or headache should avoid driving or operating machinery.
Pitavastatin is not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding. Consult your doctor.
