Chlortalidone

A thiazide diuretic that helps your body get rid of excess salt and water.

Ramipril

An ace inhibitor that relaxes blood vessels, lowering blood pressure.

Treatment of hypertension (high blood pressure)

May be used in conjunction with other medications to treat heart failure

Can be helpful in reducing the risk of cardiovascular events in highrisk patients.

Chlortalidone increases the excretion of sodium and water from the kidneys, reducing blood volume and blood pressure. Ramipril inhibits the production of angiotensin II, a hormone that constricts blood vessels, leading to vasodilation and reduced blood pressure. The combination provides a synergistic effect, enhancing blood pressure control.

Store at room temperature, away from moisture and direct sunlight. Keep out of reach of children.

Dosage should be determined by your doctor based on your individual needs and health status.

Do not change your dosage without consulting your physician.

Take the medication as prescribed, usually once daily, with or without food.

Dizziness

Lightheadedness

Fatigue

Dry cough (more common with ramipril)

Headache

Changes in blood potassium levels

Hypotension (low blood pressure)

Alcohol Consumption

Alcohol can increase the risk of low blood pressure and other side effects. Limit or avoid alcohol consumption while taking this medication.



While Driving or operating Machinery

Avoid driving or operating heavy machinery until you know how this medication affects you. Dizziness and lightheadedness are possible side effects.



Pregnant & Breastfeeding Women

This combination is generally not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding. Consult your doctor immediately if you become pregnant or are planning to breastfeed.



Children

The safety and efficacy of this combination have not been established in children.



Kidney

Kidney function should be monitored regularly, especially in patients with pre-existing kidney disease. The dosage may need to be adjusted.



Liver

Liver function should be monitored, especially in patients with pre-existing liver disease.
