Zonda Md Tab (Ondansetron) works by blocking the action of serotonin (5-HT3) in the brain and the gut. Serotonin is a neurotransmitter that plays a role in regulating nausea and vomiting. By blocking serotonin receptors, ondansetron prevents the signals that trigger vomiting from reaching the brain.
Store ondansetron at room temperature, away from heat and moisture. Keep it out of reach of children and pets.
The dosage of ondansetron will vary depending on the reason for taking it and the patient's age and medical condition.
It is usually taken by mouth as a tablet, capsule, or oral solution.
Ondansetron can also be given by injection into a vein (IV) or muscle (IM).
