A fluoroquinolone antibiotic effective against a wide range of bacteria.
A nitroimidazole antibiotic effective against various anaerobic bacteria and protozoa.
Treatment of infections caused by bacteria susceptible to both ofloxacin and ornidazole.
Infections of the gastrointestinal tract (e.g., bacterial dysentery, amoebiasis).
Infections of the gynecological tract (e.g., bacterial vaginosis).
Intraabdominal infections (when caused by susceptible organisms).
Ofloxacin inhibits bacterial DNA gyrase and topoisomerase IV, leading to bacterial cell death. Ornidazole disrupts the DNA of anaerobic bacteria and protozoa, resulting in their destruction.
Store in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and moisture. Keep out of reach of children. Discard any unused medication after the expiry date.
Dosage should be determined by a physician based on the severity of the infection and the patient's overall health.
The typical dosage is usually one or two tablets per day, taken with or without food, as directed by a doctor.
Do not exceed the prescribed dosage or duration of treatment.
