This medication works by combining the actions of its individual ingredients. Phenylephrine reduces nasal congestion by constricting blood vessels in the nasal passages. Nimesulide reduces pain and inflammation by inhibiting the production of prostaglandins, chemicals that cause pain and swelling. Chlorpheniramine Maleate blocks histamine, which helps to reduce allergy symptoms like sneezing, runny nose, and itchy eyes. Caffeine helps to improve alertness and reduce drowsiness.
