This combination insulin product works by mimicking the body's natural insulin. Insulin aspart provides rapid glucose control after meals, while insulin aspart protamine provides a longer-lasting basal insulin effect to maintain blood glucose levels throughout the day and night. Both components lower blood glucose levels by facilitating glucose uptake into cells and suppressing hepatic glucose production.

Store in the refrigerator (2-8°C). Do not freeze. Once opened, store at room temperature (up to 30°C) for up to 28 days. Protect from light.

Dosage is individualized based on the patient's blood glucose levels, lifestyle, and other medications. Always follow your doctor's or diabetes educator's instructions.

Administered via subcutaneous injection using an insulin pen or syringe. Never administer intravenously.

Injection sites should be rotated to prevent lipohypertrophy (fat buildup).

Injection site reactions: Redness, swelling, itching, or pain at the injection site.

Allergic reactions (rare): Symptoms include hives, swelling of the face, lips, or tongue, difficulty breathing.

Hypoglycemia (low blood sugar): Symptoms include sweating, shakiness, dizziness, confusion, and rapid heartbeat.

While Driving or operating Machinery

Hypoglycemia can impair judgment and reaction time. Avoid driving or operating machinery if you experience hypoglycemia.



Pregnant & Breastfeeding Women

Consult your doctor about the use of this medication during pregnancy or breastfeeding.



Children

Dosage adjustments may be necessary in children. Follow your doctor's instructions carefully.
