Olmesartan Medoxomil

An angiotensin ii receptor blocker (arb) that helps relax blood vessels.

Indapamide

A diuretic (water pill) that helps your body get rid of excess salt and water.

Treatment of essential hypertension (high blood pressure)

May be used alone or in combination with other antihypertensive medications

Olmesartan Medoxomil blocks the action of angiotensin II, a hormone that narrows blood vessels. Indapamide increases urine output, reducing blood volume and lowering blood pressure. The combined effect leads to a more effective blood pressure reduction than either drug alone.

Store at room temperature, away from moisture and direct sunlight. Keep out of reach of children.

Dizziness

Low blood pressure (hypotension)

Allergic reactions (rash, itching, swelling)

Alcohol Consumption

Alcohol may increase the risk of low blood pressure. Limit alcohol intake while taking this medication.



While Driving or operating Machinery

May cause dizziness or lightheadedness. Avoid driving or operating machinery until you know how this medication affects you.



Pregnant & Breastfeeding Women

Not recommended during pregnancy. Consult your doctor immediately if you become pregnant while taking this medication. It's generally not recommended during breastfeeding, consult your doctor.



Children

Safety and effectiveness in children have not been established.



Kidney

Use with caution in patients with impaired kidney function. Your doctor may adjust your dose.



Liver

Use with caution in patients with impaired liver function. Your doctor may adjust your dose.
