Domperidone

An antiemetic (prevents nausea and vomiting) and prokinetic agent (improves gut motility).

An analgesic (pain reliever) and antipyretic (fever reducer).

Domperidone blocks dopamine receptors in the chemoreceptor trigger zone in the brain, preventing nausea and vomiting. It also increases the motility of the gastrointestinal tract. Paracetamol reduces fever by acting on the hypothalamus and inhibits prostaglandin synthesis, which is involved in pain signaling.

Store in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and moisture. Keep out of reach of children. Do not use if the packaging is damaged or the expiry date has passed.

Pregnant & Breastfeeding Women

Consult your doctor before taking this medication during pregnancy or breastfeeding. Domperidone may pass into breast milk.



Children

Dosage should be adjusted based on the child's weight and age. Always follow the doctor's instructions.



Kidney

Patients with kidney impairment may require dose adjustment. Consult your doctor.



Liver

Patients with liver impairment should use this medication with caution. Paracetamol can cause liver damage in high doses or with prolonged use. Consult your doctor before taking this medication.
