Treatment of mild to moderate idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF).

The exact mechanism of Pirfenex 400mg Tab (Pirfenidone) in treating IPF is not fully understood, but it is believed to exert its effects through multiple pathways, including anti-fibrotic, anti-inflammatory, and antioxidant properties. It may reduce the production of transforming growth factor-beta (TGF-β), a key mediator of fibrosis.

Store at room temperature (20-25°C). Protect from moisture and light. Keep out of reach of children.

The recommended starting dose is typically 267 mg three times daily with food. The dose may be gradually increased to 801 mg three times daily as tolerated.

Dosage adjustments may be necessary based on individual patient response and tolerability. Always follow your doctor's prescribed dosage regimen.

Safety and efficacy in children have not been established.



Kidney

Dose adjustment may be necessary for patients with impaired kidney function.



Liver

Dose adjustment may be necessary for patients with impaired liver function. Liver function tests should be monitored regularly.
