Simavir 250mg Tablet (Famciclovir) is a prodrug that is converted in the body to penciclovir, an antiviral drug that inhibits the replication of the herpes virus. It works by blocking the activity of a viral enzyme called DNA polymerase, which is essential for the herpes virus to multiply.

Store Famciclovir at room temperature, between 15°C and 30°C (59°F and 86°F), in a dry place. Keep it out of reach of children and pets.

The dosage of Famciclovir will depend on the specific condition being treated, the severity of the infection, and the individual patient's health status.

Your doctor will determine the appropriate dosage and duration of treatment.

It is typically taken orally with a glass of water, with or without food.

Take Famciclovir exactly as prescribed by your doctor. Do not take more or less than the recommended dose, and do not stop taking it unless your doctor instructs you to do so.
