Sionara 200mg Cap (Celecoxib) is a selective cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2) inhibitor. COX-2 is an enzyme involved in the production of prostaglandins, which contribute to inflammation, pain, and fever. By selectively inhibiting COX-2, celecoxib reduces inflammation and pain without significantly inhibiting COX-1, which is involved in protecting the stomach lining. This selectivity is believed to lead to a lower risk of gastrointestinal side effects compared to non-selective NSAIDs.
Store at room temperature, between 20°C and 25°C (68°F and 77°F). Protect from moisture and light. Keep out of the reach of children.
