It is typically taken once daily, usually before meals.
Swallow the capsules whole with a glass of water.
Do not crush or chew the capsules.
It's crucial to follow the doctor's instructions regarding dosage and duration of treatment.
Serious: Severe allergic reactions, liver problems, bone fractures (with long-term use of PPIs).
Common: Headache, dizziness, diarrhea, constipation, abdominal pain, dry mouth, nausea.
Less Common: Muscle cramps, skin rash, itching, drowsiness.
Rare: Irregular heartbeat, seizures, hallucinations, breast enlargement in men.
Alcohol may worsen the symptoms of GERD and can interact with some medications. It's best to avoid excessive alcohol consumption while taking this medication.
Dizziness and drowsiness are possible side effects of this medication. Avoid driving or operating machinery if you experience these symptoms.
The safety of this medication during pregnancy and breastfeeding is not fully established. Discuss your concerns with your doctor before taking this medication if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
